The opportunity
As an Account Executive in the Consumables team, you’ll play a key support role in driving the success of the Food & Treats category. Working closely with the Business Manager and Director, you’ll assist with supplier communications, promotional activity, and reporting, while gaining hands-on exposure to commercial and operational processes in a fast-paced retail environment.
This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in retail, commercial, or category management. You’ll build strong foundations in supplier management and data analysis, while contributing to projects that shape our customer offering.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist with supplier communications and outreach, ensuring alignment with category priorities.
- Support supplier meetings and training sessions, contributing to follow-up actions and coordination
- Help with ad hoc tasks such as new product submissions, marketing requests, and operational checks.
- Prepare and update reports on sales, promotions, and supplier activity.
- Contribute to Supplier Performance Decks, category summaries, and other reporting packs.
- Collate and present data to support decision-making within the team.
- Track promotional activity and ensure marketing plans are kept up to date.
- Maintain accurate records of promotional materials, marketing schedules, and SKUs.
- Assist with execution of promotional and marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate planning calls with suppliers and track follow-up actions.
- Support product detail page (PDP) improvements by gathering assets and supplier information.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Business Manager and Director.
The ideal toolbox
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable in an administrative role with multiple ongoing tasks.
- Basic understanding of retail, sales, or supplier processes, with eagerness to learn.
- Clear communication skills to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to collate and summarise data.
- Proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to take direction.
- An interest in developing a career in commercial, category, or supplier management.
Role location
We believe that building connections and collaborating as Pet Circlers is super important. So this role is based in Sydney with a hybrid arrangement of 3 days per week in our pet friendly offices (your pet might love coming to the office even more than you). This is subject to change in line with business requirements.
